Welcome letter from CUNY Bangladeshi Alumni Network

Dear CBAN Members and Friends:

On behalf of the CUNY Bangladeshi Alumni Network, it is our privilege to welcome you. The Network was created on April 9th, 2011. The purpose of the Network is to promote alumni networking, build bridges and connect generations of CUNY Bangladeshi alumni to serve the community in the US and abroad. It is an exciting time and we hope you take the time to navigate our web site and Facebook page to learn more about the upcoming events, programs and activities.

Our Network will only grow if we become more inclusive and reach out to diverse alumni with an invitation to become members of our Network, Executive Board and the Board of Directors. There are so many talented and enthusiastic alumni with both passion and skills, and it is imperative that we seek out those talents and capitalize on those gifts. With that said, we need not lose sight of our younger alumni. In reality, they have a more intimate relationship to our current student body and it will serve us well to schedule events and programs for these recent graduates to allow them to stay connected to our universities.

In the days ahead, the CBAN team will explore creative ways to improve our outreach and communication to strengthen our abilities to serve. The branding and marketing of our network is one of many initiatives we will examine and execute in the months ahead.
We would like to extend an invitation to all the CUNY Bangladeshi alumni to join the network. We are grateful to the members who have registered already and strongly encourage those that have not registered yet.

If we are to succeed in the joint effort to ensure that we are meeting your expectations, we need your support and participation. Come join us! We welcome your input concerning upcoming picnic and other activities and events, and look forward to seeing you all at the picnic.

Warm regards,
Murtajur Nowsar Rahman
